On the 7th of March, the long awaited “Ontgroeningsdag”-seminar is back with a day full of groundbreaking presentations on the ever more relevant climate discussion.  Curious what an IPCC scientist has to say on the cost of climate change? Or wanting to ask a critical question to a ‘climate sceptic’? It’s all possible! At this symposium you are ensured of debut lectures and speakers who do not beat around the bush.

The climate discussion is relevant like never before, and the experts we’ve brought together cannot wait to present their latest insights on the heated climate debate.

What does Dutch climate policy cost?  Theo Wolters spearheads research into the secret costs of the Dutch ‘Energieakkoord’ and the deception of the new Klimaatakkoord.

Whatever happened to heatwaves and what does this say about the KNMI? As a premiere, Rob de Vos and his colleagues will solve this riddle.

Economist Richard Tol will shine his light on the question ‘What will climate change really cost us?’.

Is Europe going to have an energy transition at all? Come and hear it from Benny Peiser on the Crisis of the Green Energy Agenda.

In the Keynote, Nic Lewis tackles the question “Is it really necessary to reach zero emissions in 2050?“.

We welcome critical perspectives and questions during the many Q&A’s. During the breaks you may even meet with the speakers themselves, or any of the other familiar faces, like Salomon Kroonenberg, Marcel Crok and Simon Rozendaal.

The first part of the programme will be in Dutch (Wolters and de Vos), the rest of the day is in English. Scroll to below for a full programme!
